VIDEO: Effort underway to form a co-op to support Minnesota sheep producers
There's a growing number of people raising sheep in central and northern Minnesota. Now an effort is underway to form a cooperative to support them, and help the industry grow.
About 60 people turned out for the second "Small-Scale Sustainable Sheep Farming" event in Fosston, Minn., earlier this months.
Aletha Kenney is organizing the project. It's goal is to establish a co-op of producers that would support the production and sale of local wool products and meat, and expand the market.
